We had a beautiful monstera from Ninth Ward Nursery behind Nancy and an assortment of great gifts from Grounds Krewe and fantastic compost from @realcycle (available @haroldsplants). Also, included: Patagonia bags, Miir water bottle, Ecology merch, and a copy of the classic Sand County Almanac!

The Mug.....

Let it be known there are a few things we love at Ecology….animals, beer, and @wilco. No surprise there but, we also love pottery, more specifically @eastforkpottery. We even gifted our staff each an East Fork mug for Christmas. That being said, I received this most recent order yesterday and while having coffee and walking the brewery I paused. The way it felt and looked in the brewery struck me. Now, I will say that the colors they produce are some of the most balanced and captivating in most any situation but, the radiance of the blue against the stainless, the red, the old brick felt peaceful and grounding. Somehow, I felt it summed up who and what we are and where we want to continue to go through ever consuming and dizzying nature that is running a business. Through its creative nature… it was calm.

East Fork is a company that has inspired us in so many ways and a company that we look up to for guidance and possibility. They have given so much to their community in a way that is unmatched, provided a solid and safe workplace, and yet grew from a simple passion that literally came from the ground.

As we continue to grow, we hope we can follow their lead. Be creative, inspire, and do good for our community and environment through our products, our taproom, and our employees. We’ve started our work small and structed our policy’s to be a positive force. We've just passed a year and half since opening our doors and there is so much to be done and so much to give. We’ve only just begun with possibility.

Let it be known there are a few things we love at Ecology….animals, beer, and @wilco. No surprise there but, we also love pottery, more specifically @eastforkpottery. We are releasing two new IPAs today!

𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗗𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗜𝗣𝗔 (8.4% abv):

This beer (foreground) is a throwback to the classic. You really don't see them too much these days, but they are generating a little more buzz and it's always fun to dig back in the old treasure chest and see what inspires. This beer is all Simcoe, Cascade (cryo), and Columbus (cryo). Plenty of additions throughout the boil and a generous biotrans addition as we did in 2012 followed by a second final dry hop post fermentation. Light malt, piney, citrus, floral, bitter, and oh so balanced. It's 2005 all over again!

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝘇𝘆 𝗜𝗣𝗔 (7.3% abv):

This beer has a bit of spunk... A lot of bright colors...wildly slathered all around trying to be anything and everything all at once. A bit of a high efficiency and hop creep dealt us a rare higher abv for our hazy beers so pardon as we deviate from our regularly scheduled program. A twist on Paint, this one was brewed with lager yeast and Elani, Citra, and Strata hops. It boasts a bright tropical and floral aroma and notable wheat-based body while a mild bitterness brings the balance. A refreshing, slow day beer, perfect for prefect weather.

But what if you wanted to do that outside in the far reaches of the back patio where the wind chime meets the rustle of bamboo and palms...well...yes, we know...the coverage gave out right as you sat down. Problem solved. The back patio now has full coverage, and you can work inside or out...near or far with no issues.

Y’all are keeping us busy!! We are pretty tired on the Brewhouse end of things and taking the weekend off.

So, what have we been up to? Well…we took on a few pallets of new kegs this week to bring more beer to bars and restaurants!

We brewed up some pretty awesome IPA’s and seriously cannot wait to get these to taps and cans! Yes! Cans!

There’s something about our taproom on a rainy day. The cozy space dimly lit with the sounds of rain, rustling bamboo, and palms brings a peaceful start to the day. The cool dampness and fresh air give vibes of Portland, Oregon. The cool hours in coffee shops and umbrella walks to places like Saravesa, Rogue, the now closed Amnesia Brewing, Bridgeport and Laurelwood breweries for bitter, hoppy, and perfectly brewed PNW IPA’s.

Rainy, cool days remind us of all the trips that inspired us and the many days in Oregon at breweries with friends and family. They remind us of the immense gratitude we carry for the many great breweries that laid the ground work so we could be here today. Rainy days can be the best days.

This is one of our all-time favorite beers and with good reason…the name says it all. What we love about beer is that it brings us together over conversation, food, games, easy going evenings, or celebrations and this one is no exception. Together At Last is joy to brew and a pleasure to share and a nod to coming together as brewery and a community.  
That orange glow... The warm golden hue comes from beautiful Belgian malts mixed with flaked and malted wheat. The hops, a French variety from Alsace, are as brilliant as the color with notes of bergamot, lime, orange, and floral fragrence. The yeast is a farmhouse inspired strain that gives us that slight twist with the brilliant bubbles of carbonation that wrap around all the wonderful flavors and aromas reaffirming the Saison style. A beautifully named style from a beautiful country brewed right here in Central City, New Orleans.
